Once you’ve decided you’re ready to build a new home, you will likely have lots of questions regarding the construction process. One of the best ways to ensure you have a positive and swift building process is to find a builder who will openly and effectively communicate with you throughout the whole process. While a building procedure is likely unknown to you, your builder should have all the tools to make it go smoothly and effectively. At Parkside, we set you up for success by having an open communication policy, so you’re never in the dark. Unfortunately, not every builder is like that. Therefore, it’s important for you to know the right questions to ask. Here are what we believe are some of the most important questions for you to ask.

Timeline

Although unexpected delays do happen from time to time, your builder should be able to give you a rough timeline of the process. Not to mention, when those pesky setbacks do arise, your builder should tell you immediately and provide you with an explanation on how to pivot and what to expect moving forward.

Customizable Features

At Parkside we believe your home should be a representation of you, not a generic cookie-cutter home. So, ask your builder about their customization features. What is standard and what can you pick out? The earlier you ask these questions, the better.

Specialized Elements

What sort of specialized elements does your builder offer? For example, at Parkside, we offer Huntsman spray foam insulation in the attics, exterior walls and roof decking of our homes. This fundamental element keeps your home comfortable and energy-efficient year-round, and we never build a home without it!

If you’re looking for a builder that takes the time to get to know you and answer your questions, build with us! Our communities can be found in Gallatin, Hendersonville, Antioch, and Chattanooga and we would be thrilled to build a home that you’re proud of.
