Choosing a Neighborhood

If you’re considering relocating, but aren’t exactly sure where you want to go, we have some tips for helping you choose your new neighborhood. We believe these factors are the most important ones to analyze before you settle on an area and make your move. 

Location

This factor is important when you’re selecting your new community. If you have children, you’ll want to research the closest schools, their programs, and how well you believe your child could go there. If you don’t have children, you’ll likely be focused on other things that are within proximity. How important is it to you that the future location has restaurants, shops, parks, grocery stores, etc. within walking or biking distance? Analyze these factors before you decide if this location will best suit your needs. 

Outdoor Space

If having outdoor space, such as well-maintained sidewalks, a yard, a patio, or a porch, is important to you, investigate that. If you know you’re someone that enjoys open spaces and quick access to fresh air, it likely won’t be a good idea to move downtown. As far as the patios and porches are concerned, drive around the neighborhood and take notice of how many homes include this feature. Maybe even befriend a member of this community and ask them about the outdoor spaces. When it comes to your future home, you can never have too much information on it.  

Maintenance
